Five habits for fresh laundry

From sorting to drying: care at every step.

1. Treat stains while fresh

Avoid leaving heavily soiled clothing in the basket for a long time. If you do not yet have a wash load, treat the stain separately with a suitable product. Check the fabric and treatment label before applying.

Choose the right pre-treatment

The Sano guide names Kal as a product that can be applied before washing later. Contact time depends on the product: do not assume every spray can remain on fabric for days. For example, Sano Oxygen Spray instructions require washing immediately after spraying.

2. Sort by colour and fabric

Separate whites from colours and lights from darks. Wash vivid red or colour-bleeding items separately according to their labels. Sort by fabric too: delicate items may need a different programme from sturdy laundry.

Stain-removing additions

Choose a treatment for the colour, fabric and care instructions. The Sano Oxygen range includes products for different uses; its variants are not interchangeable. Follow the specific product and clothing instructions for Maxima Mix & Wash. A mixed-load detergent does not replace checking colourfastness.

3. Read the care symbols

The label specifies permitted washing temperature and treatment, plus drying and ironing instructions. Some items need a gentle programme, hand washing or professional care. If a symbol is unfamiliar, check it before washing.

4. Learn your machine’s programmes

Read the manual to check which fabrics and load sizes each programme accepts. Choose according to fabric, soil level and quantity. Do not exceed the label temperature simply to tackle a stain; use a suitable treatment and detergent.

Temperature and spin speed

Choose temperature and spin speed for delicate or synthetic fabrics according to their care instructions. A lower temperature may work with an appropriate detergent. Faster spinning removes more water, but is not suitable for every fabric and can increase creasing or damage delicate items.

5. After washing

Unload when practical and dry according to the care label. If using delayed start, time completion for when you can empty the machine. Air the drum and detergent drawer after washing as the machine instructions advise, with safe access around children and pets.
