How to clean your oven
Remove burnt-on grease, food residue and unpleasant odours.

Prepare a cool oven
Switch off and let the oven cool completely. Remove racks and trays as the manual allows and clear loose crumbs. Do not place protective trays or foil directly on the oven floor unless the manufacturer permits it.
Loosen residue
Use the cleaning procedure intended for your oven. Run steam or self-cleaning programmes only as the manual instructs; do not improvise high heat with bowls of water or lemon. For manual cleaning, choose products and tools approved for the finish.
Degreasing
Use Sano Forte Plus only on surfaces permitted by both its label and the oven manufacturer. Wear the prescribed protection and ventilate. Follow the amount and contact time on the exact bottle; do not leave it on longer. Do not heat the oven with cleaner applied.
Seals, coatings and accessories
Avoid spraying seals, plastic, electrical parts and other prohibited areas. Catalytic and self-cleaning liners may require their own maintenance procedure. Clean trays separately with a product suitable for their coating; do not assume a strong degreaser is suitable for aluminium or non-stick finishes.
Finishing
Remove the cleaner and rinse or wipe as its label and the oven manual require. Dry parts before replacing them. Use the oven again only after completing the prescribed procedure. To tackle odours, remove remaining food and grease rather than masking them.
