How to maintain your washing machine
Clean the drawer, seal and filter regularly and keep deposits under control.
Before washing
Empty pockets and choose a load size appropriate to the programme. Dose detergent according to its label, soil level, load size and water hardness.
Exterior, seal and drawer
Switch off before manual cleaning. Gently wipe the exterior and seal without pouring water into electrical parts. Remove the drawer only as the manual describes, wash with a permitted cleaner and dry before refitting.
Deposits and drum maintenance
Use the maintenance programme and cleaner approved by the machine manufacturer. When using Sano Anti Kalk for washing machines, check the exact variant: dose, compartment, programme, frequency and rinsing must match its label and the manual. Do not assume every bottle requires the entire contents or the shortest cycle. Do not mix cleaners or add vinegar or other household remedies.
Filter and drain
Only clean a user-accessible filter. Unplug the machine, allow the water to cool and follow the manual’s drainage procedure. Prepare a shallow container and towels. Remove accessible debris without force, refit as instructed and check for leaks. Contact service if it is stuck or the problem persists.
After use
Unload wet laundry and wipe accessible moisture from the seal. Air the door and drawer as the manufacturer advises, preventing access by children and pets. Persistent odours or poor drainage need their cause checked, not additional mixtures of cleaners.
